Biography

Christian A. Hans holds a professorship (W1 with tenure track) for Automation and Sensorics in Networked Systems at Faculty 16 Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Kassel. Prior to that, he was a researcher with the Control Systems Group ("Fachgebiet Regelungssysteme") at Technische Universität (TU) Berlin from 2015 to 2023. He received a PhD degree (Dr.-Ing., with distinction) from TU Berlin in 2021 and a Diploma from RWTH Aachen University in 2011. Before joining TU Berlin, he worked from 2011 to 2015 as a control engineer at Younicos AG (now Aggreko plc), Berlin, developing control algorithms for power grids with a high share of renewable energy sources.
