Mahmoud Saeidi and Jens Friebe represented the field of power electronics at the Aegean Conference on Electrical Machines and Power Electronics and Optimization of Electrical & Electronics Equipment Conference from September 1st to 3rd. Mr. Saeidi gave a presentation on his paper "Switching loss comparison between a tapped- and conventional boost converter", in which he presented the loss reduction of a new switching approach for the integration of fuel cells in commercial vehicles. Mr. Friebe gave an invited lecture on the topic "Impact of cosmic radiation on the design of power electronics in automotive and aircraft applications" in a special session on current topics of electrification in transport.
