Guest Talk by Dr. Thomas Krenc (CAIDA / San Diego Super Computing Center) on BGP Analysis
On Thursday, July 20 2023 at 14:00, Dr. Thomas Krenc (CAIDA / San Diego Super Computing Center) gives a guest talk on the inference of BGP community intent. BGP is a key component of the Internet - without BGP as the central routing protocol of the Internet, we wouldn't be able to communicate. Despite of BGP being a critical component of the Internet, the way it is configured by network operators is often not fully understood at large. One such less understood aspects are the semantics of BGP communities in operational network. In this talk, Thomas presents a new way of inferring BGP community intent. Thomas is visiting our group this week and we're happy to host his guest talk.
