Contribution by Carla Noever Castelos (I.L.A. Collective) in the new anthology "Kipppunkte. Strategies in the ecosystem of the climate movement"
As part of the I.L.A. Collective, Carla Noever Castelos co-wrote the book "Strategies: How can social movements bring about radical transformation?". The contribution is part of the newly published anthology " Kipppunkte. Strategies in the Ecosystem of the Climate Movement", edited by Manuel Grebenjak at Unrast Verlag.
In the book, the climate justice movement itself searches for ways out of the crisis. The book brings together some of the most important organizations and different voices from the diverse ecosystem of the German-speaking climate movement. They discuss strategies and tactics and analyze what they have been successful with in recent years. And they look to the future of the movement.
The I.L.A. Collective's contribution deals with the opportunities and challenges for social movements to develop strategies for a transformation towards a solidary way of life and economy. It is based on the handbook "Die Welt auf den Kopf stellen. Strategies for radical transformation" (oekom Verlag, 2022, open access).
