The Department of ÖSR (Economy of Urban and Regional Development) is looking for two new student assistants for the winter semester starting October 1, 2024.

The number of hours will be between 15 and 20 hours / month (by arrangement).

The Department of Economy of Urban and Regional Development deals with the close interactions between spatial and economic development. It deals with the spatial organization of economic processes, their global relationships and the different local manifestations of economic structural change as well as the change towards sustainable urban and regional development.

The thematic and spatial focus in the winter semester will be on the areas of inter-municipal cooperation and economic and ecological structural change, as well as on developments in the Ruhr area, the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Neckar regions, Greater Cairo and Gansu Province (China).

We are looking for people with

• Interest in scientific work and basic knowledge of scientific work.
• Interest in metropolitan regions / urban regions and governance issues.
• Enjoy international exchange and international issues (knowledge of English is necessary).
