On June 27, 2024, an informative learn:digital-pit stop of our project team "DiWiBe" - Understanding and teaching the digitalization of business and commercial professions" took place. This pit stop offered a comprehensive insight into the innovative training concept for teachers in the field of digital transformation of business teaching via an online presentation. The presentation was given by Florestine Alexander, M.Sc. from the Technical University of Munich and Verena Pfeiffer, MBA from the University of Kassel. Both speakers are part of the "DiWiBe" project team, which is headed by Prof. Dr. Manuel Förster (TU Munich) and Prof. Dr. Michael Goller (University of Kassel). 

The pit stop offered participants the opportunity to gain detailed insights into the project and ask questions directly to the experts. The event provided an overview of the "DiWiBe" sub-project in the context of the learning:digital competence network, which comprises teacher training with a focus on digitalization and the world of work 4.0 based on a blended learning concept. The "DiWiBe" project is a collaboration between the Technical University of Munich and the University of Kassel and part of the larger joint project WÖRLD (Business Education and Economic Education: Teacher Training and Digital Teaching). It aims to develop evidence-based and practical training courses for teachers in the field of digital business education. The project is about to reach the halfway point - a suitable moment for the team to present the results and plans to date. 

The project team's commitment to developing modern and effective training concepts in order to optimally prepare teachers for the challenges of digitalization in business education became clear at the pit stop. Representatives from various state institutes were also able to see this for themselves as participants. The event not only provided information, but also space for discussion and exchange, which underlines the importance of dialog between research and practice in this area.
