On July 13, 2023, Tim Weinert 's disputation took place at the ITeG of the University of Kassel. In his dissertation entitled "Design Knowledge on Work-Progress-Integrated Microlearnings", he presented groundbreaking design knowledge for co-creation processes for the development of work-process-integrated microlearnings.

The core of his research, which he presented during his disputation, is an innovative co-creation system consisting of three crucial elements: Knowledge categorization, knowledge generation, and feedback and review. This structure allows companies and organizations to effectively work on creating microlearnings that can be seamlessly integrated into the work process.

The implications of his study are manifold. Practically, Tim Weinert recommends the implementation of the co-creation system in participating companies to support the development of work process-integrated microlearnings. The theoretical implications include evaluated design principles that can overcome the challenges of developing learning materials in the work process. In addition, the study shows a positive effect on knowledge generation skills through co-creation.

After the successful disputation, Tim Weinert was honored with a doctoral hat. This hat, designed by his colleagues and commented on by Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister, represents shared experiences and special features of the newly completed doctorate.
