The project teams of the sub-projects had big plans for the second meeting of the WÖRLD competence network on December 7 and 8 in Kassel. In addition to exchanging ideas with project partners, the focus was on sharing information on the status of the project work and discussing methodology and content in greater depth.

Although the planned face-to-face meeting had to switch to a hybrid format due to the rail strike at short notice, this did not pose a major challenge for the participants. On the contrary: the conception of hybrid or digital training formats is ultimately the focus of the sub-projects of the WÖRLD project network, so that the network meeting itself could be used as a good exercise for the planned products.

In the hybrid workshops, the product designs were concretized and evaluation criteria were sharpened. Our own project sub-project 13 "DiWiBe - Understanding and teaching the digitalization of business and commercial professions" also benefited from this.

The presentations by Dr. Durdel from Ramboll Management Consulting and the representatives of the Broker:innen team of the Competence Centre for Languages/Society/Economics, Dr. Jennek and Ms. Scherzinger, rounded off the program and the exchange on the work statuses in an appealing way.

What's next? The first quarter of 2024 will be used to develop the design and organize the first seminars as part of the first phase of teacher training in the coming summer semester 2024. In addition, the focus will be on preparing the evaluation and networking with the other sub-projects and practice partners. The project team will be supported in this by the team from the Competence Center and the Transfer Office in the form of specialist workshops.

The next joint meeting will take place in July 2024.
