On December 5 and 6, 2024, the 4th joint meeting of the WÖRLD House took place at the University of Kassel. At this meeting, scientists associated with WÖRLD came together to discuss the progress of the 14 different sub-projects.

Prior to the official meeting, a joint working meeting of our sub-project "Understanding and teaching the digitalization of business and commercial professions" (DiWiBe) took place, where Prof. Dr. Michael Goller and Verena Pfeiffer from the University of Kassel as well as Prof. Dr. Manuel Förster and Florestine Alexander from the Technical University of Munich worked on the current developments of the project. The project is now heading towards its final year, in which further training courses, completion of the planned self-study unit and various publications and congress participations are on the agenda. In addition, the preparation of a lecture series in January was discussed, in which the sub-project will be presented (more information here):https://goto.uni-kassel.de/go/Aroundthewoerld.

During the joint meeting on the premises of the Institute for Vocational Education and Training, the focus was on intensive work phases in which both academic staff and Professors worked with colleagues from the transfer office on transfer strategies and evaluation concepts. On the second day, Prof. Dr. Daniel Pittich from the Technical University of Munich was invited as a guest speaker to give an insight into the final project work phase of the STEM Competence Network. Possible commonalities and perspectives after the end of the project were outlined.

The event once again provided a valuable platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities of digitalization in commercial professions and strengthened cooperation within the WÖRLD network.
