Successful disputation of Mahei Li
On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the Department of Information Systems (Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister) at the University of Kassel hosted the Disputation of Mahei Li took place. Some colleagues followed the lecture on site in the large hall of the ITeG. Prof. Dr. Leimeister, the examination board and other spectators were connected online via Zoom. Mr. Li successfully defended his dissertation entitled "A Hypergraph-based Modeling Approach and Applications ".
In it, Mahei Li addresses, among other things, how change affects networked service systems. A value graph he developed provides the solution. With this graph, interaction analyses are possible, simulations can be carried out and statements can be made about holistic service systems. The service model as an approach of a theory for the service discipline, the new graph structure (the digraph as a hypergraph) as well as the general systems theory for value structures form the theoretical implications of his dissertation. The practical implications of his work are, among others, the design of a novel model-based system, holistic analysis capabilities of these, as well as comptability and integration with existing systems.
Professor Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister and the examination committee congratulated Mahei Li after his successful disputation. The presentation of the individually designed doctoral hat was done by colleagues on site. Enclosed are some photo impressions of the event.
