We are looking for a person with research and teaching experience in the field of vocational, health, nursing or medical education (or related disciplines) with expertise in the field of nursing and/or health didactics to establish the newly created field of vocational education with a focus on nursing and health and to represent it in research and teaching.

The applicant is expected to have a working focus in at least one of the following subject areas:

• Design and evaluation of complex teaching and learning arrangements in schools and practice in nursing and health education
• Linking theory and practice in vocational education and training or in the vocational teaching profession
• Heterogeneity in nursing and healthcare education
• Migration and integration in nursing and healthcare education
• Inter-, multi- and transdisciplinarity in the nursing and healthcare system
• Digitalization of the nursing and healthcare system and its pedagogical implications
• Digitalization of nursing and health education

An empirical research approach is expected.

The future post holder will demonstrate their expertise through relevant national and, if possible, international peer-reviewed publications in relevant journals. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding is expected. National and international networking efforts are desired.

At least a very good doctorate and other academic achievements related to the professorship are expected. Teaching experience is an advantage.

The teaching duties are to be fulfilled in the Bachelor's and Master's teaching degree courses (L4) with the vocational specialization Health (B.Ed. and M.Ed.) as well as the Master's degree course in Vocational Education Health with the second subject Nursing (M.A.). Teaching focuses primarily on didactic aspects of the degree courses. In addition, courses are to be offered within the 'Educational and Social Science Core Studies' of the University of Kassel.

Participation in academic self-administration is part of the duties. The future post holder will, among other things, assume the role of professorial contact person for the range of courses offered in the field of vocational health education. This also includes strategic and operational cooperation with Fulda University of Applied Sciences and the cooperating schools. Willingness and participation in academic networking within the university, the department and the institute are expected.
