EAERE Summer School on Behavioral Environmental Economics in Austria

From 3 to 9 July, this year‘s EAERE Summer School for junior researchers on Behavioral Environmental Economics took place at castle Seggau in Austria. Our Chair was represented twice: Astrid Dannenberg, being part of this year’s Faculty, gave two lectures on the role of uncertainty and tipping points for cooperation problems and on the question which institutions people choose to solve them. Eva Weingärtner participated together with Sophia Möller from the Chair for Empirical Economic Research and young researchers from across Europe and presented a paper on the role of information and observability on individual food choices. In addition to an excellent scientific program, the Summer School provided the opportunity for informal exchange between the junior researchers and the established researchers, as well as an attractive social program including a hike through southern Styria.
