Research

Our research profile is interdisciplinary and future-oriented. It focuses on four key areas: Economic Behavior and Governance (EB&Go), Digital Transformation (DITRA), Skills Acquisition & Entrepreneurship (KENT) and Sustainability, Energy and Environment (NEU). They deal with the central challenges of our time and highlight topics of particular social, economic, scientific, legal, technological, environmental and educational relevance. Our economic and legal research is international and interdisciplinary. Committed to the overarching research profile of the University of Kassel, we develop innovative collaborative research initiatives and maintain strategic partnerships with leading (inter)national research institutes. Fortunately, the volume of evaluated third-party research funding has steadily increased.

Lukas Rode has been working as a research assistant and doctoral student in the Sustainable Finance department since January 16, 2025.

Lukas Rode has been working as a research assistant and doctoral student in the Sustainable Finance department since January 16, 2025. He previously successfully completed his master's degree in innovation management and, among other things, gained experience in the field of venture capital as part of his studies. His research interests particularly include green patents, the ESG transformation of listed companies, sustainability in venture capital and the role of neobrokers in sustainable investing.
