2010 Award of the Scientific Society of Milk Producer Advisors

Ms. Katrin Juliane Schiffer has been awarded a prize by the Scientific Society of Milk Producer Advisors(WGM) for her master's thesis on "Optimizing Milker Comfort on Large Dairy Farms". The thesis, prepared under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hensel (FG Agricultural Engineering) and Prof. Dr. Ton Baars (FG Biodynamic Agriculture), examines the physical and psychological stresses of working in modern milking parlors, among other things, and makes recommendations for improving working conditions.
