Measuring device prevents bacteria formation in maize silos - alumnus receives highly endowed sponsorship award
An alumnus of the University of Kassel has been awarded the German-African Innovation Prize. Isaiah Eterno Muchilwa is being honoured for his research in the field of maize storage and a measuring device he developed to reduce crop destruction. The prize is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and is endowed with 150,000 euros. Muchilwa developed his invention as a doctoral student at the Witzenhausen site and benefited from supervision at the Department of Agricultural Engineering. He also received support as a participant and winner of the Unikat Ideas Competition 2015 of the University of Kassel.
