Research focus
Nele Gloy studied Agricultural Sciences, specializing in Environmental Sciences, earning her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Kiel University in Germany, ENSAT in France, and INRGREF in Tunisia. Her thesis focuses on enhancing understanding of the environmental factors that enable the long-term success of agroforestry systems in Western Africa and their potential to improve food security in a changing climate. To achieve this, she uses various biophysical models, including APSIM-X and EcoCrop, along with machine learning approaches.
