Prof. Dr. Maria Renate Finckh is the Dean of Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences and Head of Department of Ecological Plant Protection. Her main topics are the use of biodiversity for plant protection, breeding for diversity and the development of agroecologically oriented agricultural production systems that contribute to soil fertility and soil structure.

More about the webinar: The presentation will explain some of the points made in the recent paper by Van Bruggen et al. 2021: Indirect Effects of the Herbicide Glyphosate on Plant, Animal and Human Health Through its Effects on Microbial Communities. It will be followed by a discussion based on country contexts: namely lessons from Tunisia and Morocco.
