Presentation at the LIGNA 2019 in Hanover

The research network "TETHOK - Textile Tectonics for Wood Construction" is investigating how lightweight, load-bearing components can be constructed from regional and fast-growing willow wood. For this purpose, a continuous lamella is being developed, which is then processed into a woven textile. The Department of Building Conservation and Timber Construction participated in a joint booth of the TETHOK research network at LIGNA 2019. In addition, Jens Frohnmüller presented the research project at the LIGNA FORUM. With around 100,000 visitors and approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries, LIGNA is one of the largest wood trade fairs in the world.
