Cora Strobel

PhD Candidate | Research Assistant

Research focus  (Cora Strobel)

As a doctoral researcher I am interested in understanding the temporal changes of non-linear biogeochemical systems and how we can capture their behavior appropriately. I apply the method spectral induced polarization (SIP) to monitor denitrification-driven microbial activity and cation exchange processes in natural (aquifer) sediments, apply reactive transport modeling to test our hypotheses and link different types of data while also working on ways to implement our monitoring method in the field.

I am co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Adrian Mellage and Prof. Dr. Olaf Cirpka, with a project funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung and I am located at the University of Tübingen
