Workshop 1: Simulation in Construction Management Organization:
![]() In the last years simulation is considered to be a significant and innovative research theme in construction management. However this method was not widely used in practice yet. This workshop should be a discussion platform for researchers and practitioners to enable to exchange their recent results. The attention is hereby focused on the development of practical simulation applications which smooth the way for simulation to be used in the practice. Questions like ‘Which demands makes the construction management on the simulation and vice versa?’ or ‘How can simulation help the planner in resolving construction management related problems?’ provide a lot of discussion topics for the dialog, and they can initiate new and innovative research ideas. Workshop 2: Emulation: Virtual Ramp-Up by Means of Simulation
Organization: ![]() Email: sven.spieckermann@simplan.de ![]() The use of discrete-event simulation models for ramp-up of complex control logics such as warehouse management systems is growing rapidly using labels as “Emulation” or “Virtual Ramp-Up”. The workshop is going to present three case studies in the fields of automotive and warehouse logistics as well as a survey on literature and more recent research activities as a starting point for discussions. It is addressing practitioners and researchers in the field of simulation, emulation, IT, production and logistics and is a follow-up event of a similar workshop at the 11th conference in Berlin. Workshop 3: Quality in Simulation Organization: ![]() This workshop continues the workshop „Quality in Simulation“, which was hold at the 11 th ASIM-Conference and presents the results of the two groups “Validation” and “Quality Criteria for Simulation in Production and Logistics” of the Working Group “Simulation in Production and Logistics”. The results of the work will also be published in two books by VDI-Springer publishing house in autumn. Part 1: Quality criteria for Simulation Studies Quality Criteria – Methods and Check Lists – Advantages for Industrial Applications Chair: Matthias Weiss, IKA Dresden With contributions of Simone Collisi-Böhmer, Siemens AG, Nürnberg, and Matthias Weiss, IKA Dresden Part 2: Verification and Validation (V&V) Objectivity at V&V – Document structures – Procedure Model for V&V – Importance of V&V in Industrial Applications Chair: Markus Rabe, Fraunhofer IPK Berlin With contributions of Sven Spieckermann, SimPlan AG, Maintal, Stefan Heinrich, Audi AG, Ingolstadt, and Markus Rabe, Fraunhofer IPK Berlin. Workshop 4: Enterprise Dynamics-Usermeeting Organization: ![]() D-44143 Dortmund, eMail: hans-peter.duve@khs.com ![]() D-65189 Wiesbaden, eMail: holger.pitsch@enterprisedynamics.com The autonomous, German speaking Enterprise Dynamics-Usergroup has been founded in May 2004. The goal of the group is to provide a common communication plattform for discussions around the simulation software Enterprise Dynamics to users and interested parties in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Thus, the members of the ED-Usergroup benefit from the possibility to exchange interbranch and interdisciplinary know-how and experiences. The ED-Usergroup organises conferences at regular intervals and provides a discussion forum on a website. The Enterprise Dynamics-Usermeeting within the scope of the ASIM-Conference comes up with a tutorial, a lecture about a project from practice as well as with the opportunity to inform oneself about the ED-Usergroup.
