ITeG excursion to the Konrad Zuse Museum in Hünfeld

Researchers of the ITeG and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering/Computer Science at the University of Kassel followed in the footsteps of Konrad Zuse on a joint excursion on September 5, 2024.

On May 12, 1941, Konrad Zuse presented the world's first functional digital computer. The cupboard-sized ancestors of our everyday companions in desk and pocket format impress with their seemingly absurdly low computing power today. However, the questions that we are dealing with today at the ITeG and elsewhere are already laid out here. When Konrad Zuse thought about the possible intelligence of computers at an early stage or considered the use of his devices in times of war.
