Dr. Pedro Piñeda was a visiting scholar at INCHER and at the same time worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the German Center for Higher Education and Science Studies (DZHW). From 2018-2020 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at INCHER on a project for the institutionalization of teaching student evaluations in Germany, the USA and Colombia. Previously, he was assistant professor in Bogotá at the Universidad de los Andes and the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

Pedro specializes in the fields of sociology of education, comparative education, higher education, and organizational studies. My research is influenced by sociological neo-institutionalism and by a decolonial perspective.
