Janosch Schindler's dissertation is entitled "Die Entwicklung des organisationalen Feldes der externen Qualitätssicherung von Studium und Lehre in Deutschland unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Wettbewerbs zwischen den Agenturen" (The Development of the Organizational Field of External Quality Assurance of Study and Teaching in Germany with Special Consideration of Inter-Agency Competition). The thesis was supervised by Professor Georg Krücken (first supervisor) and Professor Kathia Serrano Velarde (Univ. Heidelberg, second supervisor).

Janosch Schindler (née Baumann) was member of the research team of INCHER until 2018, especially conducting research on external and internal quality assurance of teaching and learning. From 2018 to 2020 he was in charge of process management in the area of study and teaching at HAW Hamburg and since 2020 he has been a project funding officer at the Foundation for Innovation in Teaching in Higher Education.
