The newly established subject area "Project Management in Digital Transformation" will be taken over at the beginning of the summer semester 2023 by Prof. Dr. habil. Timo Braun will take over. Mr. Braun has accepted the call for the advertised W3 professorship and was appointed as a university professor by the President of the University of Kassel a few days ago.

Mr. Braun was most recently Professor of Organization and Management at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Among other things, he was involved in a major research project on sustainable system innovations, was involved in a doctoral center and was a member of the Center for Sustainable Economic and Corporate Policy (ZNWU) in Darmstadt. Previously, he was Professor of Project Management at the Free University of Berlin, where he also completed his habilitation.

Mr. Braun is originally from the field of economics and sees himself as an interdisciplinary bridge builder between different disciplines such as mechanical engineering, economics and social sciences, industrial engineering and civil engineering as well as computer science. Its research profile is very internationally oriented. The department should also benefit from this in its further development.
