For summer semester of 2024, the Department of Project Management in the Digital Transformation will be offering Project Seminars I and II (3 CP ea.) for mechanical engineering students and other related department for the first time.

In these seminars, agile product development methods are taught to enable teams to develop a digital twin and their inherent services. A smart coffee machine serves as a demonstrator. The project extends over three semesters (for a total of 9 CPs). It is also possible to participate in just one project modules.

Students will gain both practical and theoretical knowledge. The curriculum includes the developement of Internet of Things based solutions (project module I), the potential and possible applications of digital twins (project module II) and the development of product-service systems (project module III in the winter semester of 2024/2025).
