Using agile project management methods, the Project Management in Digital Transformation department introduces students to user-centered product development in interdisciplinary teams. This is done using the example of coffee grinders and portafilter machines.

The students further develop the machines technically, based on the previously collected customer requirements. This results in additional product features and enhanced customer benefits.

The technical implementation is carried out with the help of IoT technologies, digital twins and low-code applications. The course concludes with a prototype demonstration & coffee tasting.

Under the direction of Timo Braun takes over here Thomas Maximilian Gloß will be the Coordinator and supervisor. This teaching format focuses in particular on

• Interdisciplinary collaboration between students with diverse specialist backgrounds,
• Interlocking of business and technical processes,
• State-of-the-art project management methodology in a concrete application,
• Experience-based learning.
