Kick-off and information event "InterKlim"

Kick-off and information event for the intercultural project "InterKlim" on Thursday, September 13 at 7 pm. The event will take place in the Gießhaus of the University of Kassel at the Holländischer Platz campus. Together with our project partners, the engineering firm Burghardt und Partner, the Ost-West-Wissenschaftszentrum (OWWZ) of the University of Kassel, the City of Kassel, the Oskar-von- Miller School, the Volkshochschule Kassel and the Diakonisches Werk der Region Kassel, we want to present the project and provide information about adapting to climate change.

The project "Intercultural Qualification Network for Adaptation to Climate Change" - InterKlim for short - is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety until the end of August 2020. The overall aim of the project is to establish an intercultural network in the city of Kassel between local and asylum-seeking architects, engineers, planners and tradespeople in order to exchange ideas on ways of adapting to climate change. The aim is to discuss adaptation options that are already being used in the countries of origin. In addition, local players will establish contacts with potential employees. Teaching materials are to be developed from the results of the working groups and made available in the form of e-learning modules.
