Teacher training: Do they actually have an alarm clock? Empathy promotion of children and adolescents using the example of the slum of Mathare

"Do they actually have an alarm clock there?" Students ask me these and similar questions when I report on my time in the Kenyan slum. Essentially, these kinds of questions show that, despite the ubiquitous reporting that confronts us with the problems and challenges of our environment, it is difficult for them to put themselves in the shoes of the local people.
Without pointing fingers - but with the help of concrete practical examples - this training will focus on how to encourage empathy among children and adolescents and how to deal with real-life problems appropriately in religious education.
