Welcome to the University of Kassel Prof. Dr. Susanne Ritzmann

Dr. Susanne Ritzmann took up a professorship for Sustainable Product Design and Development in January 2023. She studied design and design research, completed her doctorate at Berlin University of the Arts on design didactics of sustainability and conducted research between 2012 and 2020 at the Design Research Lab at Berlin University of the Arts and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, among others. Most recently, she was a scientific advisor in the field of education and science and managed research funding programs of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. In Kassel, she is part of the Kassel Institute for Sustainability and brings a design perspective on sustainability to the transdisciplinary work there. She would also like to promote the relevance of design research and sustainability in the product design course at the Kunsthochschule.
