Career prospects

Graduates can enter the preparatory service for the teaching profession at vocational schools, teach in vocational educational institutions in the non-school sector or take on managerial training activities or activities in personnel and organizational development in the company.
Vocational teachers at vocational schools cooperate closely with those responsible for training in industry and the skilled trades. One of the central tasks of vocational teachers is to provide individual advice and support to heterogeneous groups of students and to create a climate conducive to learning in the classroom. The development of their own competencies in innovative occupational fields as well as the planning, development and implementation of innovations in school operations are also central requirements. This requires comprehensive vocational pedagogical, subject didactic, organizational and social competencies.
