Department for Student Bodies & Networking, Study & Teaching

The Department of Student Associations, Networking, Studying & Teaching (in short: Student Association Department) coordinates the Projects and Resources of the various student councils. We aim to interconnect the AStA with the various student initiatives and student councils of the University. Our Department is also supporting the student-delegates of various university committees.

Our main mission is the support of the Conference of Student-Associations as well as the senate commission on studying & teaching, which audits the examination regulations. The department is also part of the LEO & Servicecenter Teaching advisory councils as well as the dean conference.

Another field of work is the exchange with the Kassel Art School, where we have deep ties to the student association 20 & the Art-School’s rector. We Strive to further the presence of the AStA at the KHK as well as supporting students and student-projects there.

You can contact us if you are part of a student association with a problem or a project. You can also contact us if you are a student interested in student associations work, have an issue regarding an examination regulation or want to get in touch on one of our other topics.

We are also offering certificates for participatory work within the AStA, student associations, the StuPa or similar projects. You can find a Form for that on this Website. Please send them in early, as it will take some time to be processed. All entered Forms will be collected and processed at the end of each month.

You can also meet Konrad at the office (Room 1107 ad the Studi-Haus) on  Mo, 1-3 pm and Thu, 2-4 pm. Paul can be met Fri, 8-10 am. Please give us a short heads up via Mail before your visit, to make sure no unforeseen circumstances are prohibiting us from being at the office. If you want to talk via phone or zoom, you can also write us a mail.

The Department for Student Representatives, Networking, Studies & Teaching (Fachschaften Referat forshort) coordinates the work & of the student representatives. We network the student councils and the AStA in all major or cross-departmental issues.

Furthermore, the department is responsible for student representation in various university committees.

The main tasks of the department are to support the Student Council Conference (FSK) and the Senate Commission for Studies & Teaching, which examines the examination regulations, among other things. The department is also involved in the LEO Advisory Board, the Service Center Teaching Advisory Board and the Conference of Deans of Studies.

Another topic is networking with the Kunsthochschule Kassel, where the student representatives are in close contact with Student Council 20 and the KhK Rectorate. We are working on making the AStA more present at the Kunsthochschule and supporting the students there with more projects.

You are welcome to contact us if you are a student council member and have a problem or project, if you are a student and want to find out more about student council work or the AStA, if there are problems with examination regulations or if you are interested in other areas of committee work. We are also available for questions and suggestions regarding AStA representation and work at the Kunsthochschule.

We also issue committee work certificates if you are involved in student councils, AStA, StuPa or similar. You can find the template for this on the page, please allow some time, the applications are collected over the month and processed together at the end of the month.
