Certificate Program Biodiversity in Agricultural Landscapes
This page contains automatically translated content.
Students of the master programs Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning (specialization Environmental Planning and Landscape Management, FB06), Biology (specialization Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology, FB10) and Ecological Agriculture (FB11) can participate in this certificate program.
The dramatic loss of biodiversity and genetic biodiversity in agricultural landscapes is creating a need for appropriately qualified individuals in biology, agriculture, and landscape planning. Nationwide, more and more positions are being advertised in governmental institutions and non-governmental organizations for management and consulting on biodiversity at the interface of agriculture and nature conservation. Graduates of the certificate program acquire the necessary knowledge in the field of agriculture and nature conservation as well as consulting skills.
Special course of studies
The certificate comprises five modules with a total of 30 credits. The certificate program begins each summer semester and extends over two semesters. The required modules are taken within the student's own master's degree program in the elective or optional area over two semesters and are recognized as far as possible. Depending on the first degree program and the current Master's degree program, different subject modules in the area of agricultural sciences or nature conservation must be selected (see the corresponding subpages). The two courses in the area of communication and methodology must be taken by all students. The recognition of individual further modules related to nature conservation for the certificate can be applied for in the Department of Ecological Agricultural Sciences and will be checked there.
As a rule, the certificate can be completed entirely in the compulsory elective area. The following modules are available:
