German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
The DAAD is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students and scientists. It promotes the internationalization of German universities, awards scholarships, strengthens German studies and the German language abroad, supports developing countries in establishing efficient universities, and advises decision-makers in education, foreign science and development policy.

The campaign "Study worldwide. Experience it!" campaign is a joint initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Pädagogischer Austauschdienst e.V. (PAD)
The Pädagogischer Austauschdienst (PAD) is active in international exchange and cooperation in the school sector. Students of all disciplines can apply to the PAD for a COMENIUS assistantship in member states of the EU as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey.

Hessen Networks
The Hessian coordination office for international practice-oriented mobility "Hessen Networks!" is a joint project of the Hessian universities. The aim of the project is to better connect existing networks and contacts in the field of internships abroad in Hessen and to simplify administrative processes. At the same time, the project aims to increase mobility flows in Hessen and to make internships abroad a more important part of university studies.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusamenarbeit (giz)
As a competent service provider, GIZ supports the German government in achieving its goals in international cooperation and is active worldwide in international education work. The Goethe-Institut is the globally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany. The institute's educational programs enable mobility in a worldwide learning community. The Goethe-Institut offers the possibility of an internship at one of the institutes abroad.

weltwärts
" weltwärts" promotes the commitment for the One World sustainably and understands itself as a learning service, which makes an intercultural exchange in developing countries possible for young people. Young people between the ages of 18 and 28 can do voluntary service in developing countries for 6 to 24 months on all thematic spectrums of current development cooperation. They are intensively prepared for their assignment by the sending organizations and accompanied during the entire period of their voluntary service.

kulturweit
" kulturweit" is an international youth volunteer service in the field of foreign cultural and educational policy. It is a project of the German UNESCO Commission in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office. Since 2009, "kulturweit" has been offering young people aged 18 to 26 the opportunity to volunteer in the field of foreign cultural and educational policy for 6 or 12 months. All volunteers receive financial support.

Learningfield on the way - Learning and traveling aroundthe world
"Learning field on the way - Learning and traveling around the world" is a union of engaged carriers from the international youth work (IJA), the child and youth travel (KJR) and different universities. In the job and engagement exchange, students, teachers and practice partners have the opportunity to inform each other about internships, volunteer work and jobs.

Voluntary service abroad

Before you start a planned voluntary service and want to have it recognized, you should always clarify your plans with the BPS office. Basically, social work institutions can be recognized if an experienced social worker is in charge of your internship. Nevertheless, we recommend that you consult with the BPS office so that no unexpected difficulties arise.
