The department Sustainable Electrical Energy Systems works in research and teaching on the future decentralized energy system to ensure a secure, cost-efficient and sustainable energy supply. We are currently looking to strengthen our team at the University of Kassel and at Fraunhofer IEE in all subject areas and areas of responsibility.

Task profile

You support research and teaching at the department Sustainable Eletrical Energy Systems. You enjoy solving scientific problems, especially in the development of suitable models, methods and simulation environments on different time scales to answer questions of stability and efficiency of the future power supply.

The main tasks within the scope of teaching are the preparation and implementation as well as new conception of lectures, seminars and exercises as well as the supervision of students.

Requirements profile

You work independently and goal-oriented. You have an above-average university degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, information technology, physics or similar fields. You have experience in modeling/simulation of electrical engineering issues and ideally in the area of operational management/design of electrical grids and grid integration of renewable energies. You have knowledge of simulation environments such as Matlab/Sincal, PowerFactory, PSSSincal, SimPowerSystems, C++ and control center systems and have excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
