Forbidden Books" exhibition at the Literaturhaus München

"Today I would like to draw your attention not to a publication, but to another completed 'major project', namely the exhibition "Forbidden Books" at the Literaturhaus München.

Florian Gassner (formerly a visiting professor with us in Kassel; University of British Columbia Vancouver) and I accompanied it academically. It was both exciting and challenging to develop the basic concept, the selection of exhibits and, above all, the texts. Unfortunately, we didn't come up with the spectacular design ...

Kassel is very visible in the exhibition! The Parthenon of books can be seen in huge photos, the "Kassel List" can be researched on a large screen - and a Kassel German studies student reports on her work on the American book bans against LGBTQ+ literature (Audio guide, No. 4).
