Preferred dial-up method

Since winter semester 2015/16, the Institute for German Studies has been participating in the preferential dial-in procedure.
Students of participating teaching units can apply for preferential enrollment in courses of their study program. This is valid for one semester. If the application is approved, the students will receive a place in the seminars of their choice. The IT system will automatically ensure the dial-in of these students.

The request can be made for the following reasons:

  • chronic illness or disability (proven by a medical certificate, preferably using the attached )
  • child to be cared for up to the age of 12 (proven by copy of birth certificate)
  • Pregnancy with expected date of delivery in the semester's lecture period (proven by medical confirmation of the pregnancy with indication of the date of delivery)
  • Care of a close relative (proven by a copy of a document according to §§ 44, 44a SGB XI)

Applications for the BA and MA programs must be submitted on time and in full, including all required documents, to the mailbox of the study coordination, Kurt-Wolters-Str. 5, room 4047, (bottom row on the right). Appropriate information and the application forms can be found further down this page.

In the future, applications for teaching degree programs will be processed centrally and must be submitted on time and in full, including all required documents to Nora-Platiel-Str. 5, 1st floor, P.O. Box 21 (opposite room 1211). Further information can be found here.
