The Lecture Series:'Global Modernities?'  will take place from 22.04.2024 at the Museum Fridericianum with renowned international guests. The Lecture Series is conceived and organized by the Department of Art and Society together with the documenta Institute.

Modernity is often described as a predominantly Western phenomenon, a notion that is increasingly being called into question in academic debates. The lecture series Global Modernities ? addresses these debates and examines the historiography of art as part of global modernization processes.
