Many humanities graduates are concerned with the question of what to do after graduation. Linguistic, literary and cultural studies courses such as German, English, Romance studies or philosophy do not specifically prepare students for a particular career. Those who do not aspire to an academic career in teaching and research in the respective subject are faced with a wide range of career opportunities - from subject-related to non-subject-related activities. A lateral entry is not uncommon. This diversity can be seen as an opportunity, but it unsettles many students when it comes to career orientation.

It is particularly challenging that very few job advertisements explicitly look for humanities graduates. Instead, it is often less the specialist knowledge that counts and more the university degree itself as well as the skills and practical experience acquired.

In this event, you will find out what the current job market looks like and what opportunities there are for humanities graduates. You will also receive valuable tips on how to find out about your individual career opportunities.

The face-to-face event is organized in cooperation with the university team of the Employment Agency and is aimed at students from FB 02.
