Judith Kopp studied cultural studies and sociology in Lucerne, Geneva and Frankfurt am Main. From 2011 to 2018, she worked in the European department of the human rights organization PRO ASYL, where she focused on the situation at Europe's external borders and EU cooperation with countries of transit and origin.
As a member of the junior research group "Transformation of European Migration Policy in Crisis", she is doing her PhD at the University of Kassel on the discourse around "fighting the causes of flight" in the context of the Summer of Migration 2015.
