Sydney Ramirez
Sydney Ramirez researches gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans history in the 20th century with her dissertation “Queer Youth Organizations and Knowledge Circulation in the U.S. since the 1960s.” In 2021 she completed her Master’s degree in History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and researched on the topic of child labor law and disability in the U.S. Progressive Era. She completed her bachelor’s degree in the interdisciplinary fields of German and Middle East Studies at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and came to Germany in 2016 with a Fulbright research grant on gay and lesbian life in German-language oral history collections.
