Dr. Krebber receives Fellowship at the Research Institute Humanity and Nature, Kyoto, JP

Dr. Krebber will spend 2 months at RIHN researching the reception of the Atomic Age in the context of the Anthropocene in Japan and Japanese ideas of nature

For his project "From Atomic Hopes to Anthropocene Fears", Dr. Krebber has been invited for a 2-month research stay from July to September at the Research Institute Humanity and Nature in Kyoto, Japan. During his stay, Dr. Krebber will conduct research on the reception of the Atomic Age in the context of the Anthropocene in Japan and Japanese conceptions of nature, deepen existing contacts at Kyoto University and establish new research collaborations. Dr. Krebber will collaborate in particular with the project Towards a Global Environmental Culture by Articulating Science with Indigenous Knowledge by Prof. Dr. MATSUDA Motoji and with the SceNE Project. SceNE pursues the reconstruction of resilient indigenous ways of life in the face of changing environmental conditions for the creation of sustainable collective knowledge contingents through the combination of art and science.
