The group "kassel postcolonial" was founded in 2015. It members currently consist of people from the art school and the faculty of social sciences.

The group also has its own web presence, which can be accessed at kassel-postkolonial.de. Here, you can explore local historical references to colonialism, as well as colonial presences that are visible in the city. People are invited to make their own contributions.

Similar and inspiring projects already exist in many major German cities, such as Berlin and Hamburg.

The group and the project in Kassel are looking forward to committed participants, also beyond the university context. If you are interested, please send us an email with a short motivation.
