Teaching and learning objectives in the subject area "Methods of Empirical Social Research" are to know the scientific-theoretical foundations of research, to distinguish empirical-scientific findings from everyday knowledge gain as well as para- or pseudo-science, to assess the quality of empirical studies and to carry out own investigations empirically-analytically and practically according to scientific criteria as well as the guidelines of research ethics.

Semester apparatus "Methods of empirical social research"

A semester collection "Methods of empirical social research" has been set up in the library. This contains general introductory works and textbooks on the subject of empirical research methods as well as reading on statistical procedures and the use of statistical software. If you are interested, you are welcome to use the reserve collection.

The reserve collection is located at Holländischer Platz in building section B, 2nd floor.
