The Kassel Scholarship enters its second round! Since the winter semester 2023/2024, the Studierendenwerk has been supporting students at the University of Kassel who have successfully mastered their studies from special life situations. In the second funding year 2024/25, 14 students with a migration or refugee background whose parents did not attend university in Germany will be supported. In addition to the monthly financial contribution of 200 euros each, the scholarships also serve to bring the students into contact with the regional economy, to participate in events as part of a scholarship network, to offer them educational programmes on topics that are personally relevant to them and to network them. The aim is to support young people who, despite difficult conditions, demonstrate exceptional performance in their studies and demonstrate not only professional but also social skills.
