From March 20 to 22, 2024, the 27th Doctoral Seminar on IT, Service, Innovation and Collaboration (WISIC) took place on the premises of Osnabrück University. The aim of the seminar is to promote exchange between the participating chairs at the University of Kassel, the University of St. Gallen and the University of Osnabrück and to generate new impetus for the respective dissertation projects.

A total of 30 participants took part in the workshop. Doctoral students presented their research topics in various formats. The presentation format was selected according to the individual doctoral progress and status. Through intensive discussions with other doctoral students as well as professors and post-docs, participants were able to gain valuable feedback and new ideas for their dissertation projects and drive them forward.

A highlight in addition to the presentations was the keynote speech by Dr. Sebastian Lins (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)) entitled "Employees' Security-Related Precaution Taking". Here, the contrasting effects of trust in organizational security practices and employee protection structures were discussed. In order to discuss this lecture and the presentations in a relaxed atmosphere and to exchange ideas, a joint dinner was held after the lectures. Another highlight of the 27th WISIC was the joint karting event.
