 "In Germany, there are fields of employment for migrants that differ from regular, professional work. In this explorative, qualitative study, these specifically migrant-influenced areas of work are referred to as arrival work. How migrants experience and interpret their employment in arrival work and what career prospects they associate with their work is worked out using the example of the fields of gastronomy, cleaning and care. The results provide important food for thought for the integration of migrants into the professional world of work in Germany."
