Dissertations are continually being supervised in the business psychology specialist field in the following subject areas:

• Emotions at work
• Self-control and regulating tasks at work
• Creativity and personal initiative
• Psychological aspects of ideas management
• Management
• Other topics by arrangement

The following order of events is recommended if you wish to write your dissertation with us.

1. Please contact one of the members of your specialist field in order to find a supervisor for your dissertation and then discuss a topic and the timetable.
2. Draw up a research proposal, which will help both sides to reach some understanding about important subject matter. This should include the following information:
   1. Clearly define your topic. Why is it important and interesting?
   2. What literature and theories do you want to use to support your work?
   3. What will the structure of the dissertation look like?
   4. In the case of empirical work: initial considerations about the method that you wish to use

Once you have discussed and possibly corrected the research proposal, you can register your dissertation. The official time allowed for completion then starts (this is governed by the examination regulations for your degree course).

Please note: depending on the examination regulations, a second examiner may be necessary from a different specialist field. We will be happy to make suggestions here.

Once you have handed in your dissertation, corrections will normally be made quickly and the oral defence of your paper will take place (depending on the examination regulations).
