EAS (Extreme Atomic Systems) Conference in Riezlern (Austria)

Master's student Lukas Germeroth took part in the EAS conference in Riezlern for us. The aim of this year's meeting in Austria was to shed light on dynamics under extreme conditions and to discuss research progress together. Lukas' presentation dealt with a measurement method (Recoil Imaging) for neutral metastable Ne/CO particles, which were generated by means of a stimulated Stokes process using a 2-color X-ray pulse at the EuXFEL. The idea of analyzing individual SASE spectra to identify the specific structures required to form the metastable Ne atoms was presented.
