We study the Bioenergetics in Photoautotrophs. Our research focuses on the central carbohydrate metabolism in cyanobacteria and plants and in addition on the hydrogen metabolism in cyanobacteria. Based on our basic research we aim to exploit photosynthesis for the production of hydrogen.
