How to find the Institute of Physics at the campus Heinrich-Plett-Straße

Most of the working groups of the Institute of Physics can be found on the 1st floor of the main building at the Heinrich-Plett-Straße location. In the overview map we have marked the location of the rooms and the secretariats of the working groups as central contact points. The rooms of the working group Theoretical Physics IV of Prof. Demekhin are located on the first floor of the main building, the rooms of the Technical Physics of Prof. Reithmaier are located on the 1st + 2nd floor of the INA.

International airports nearby are "Frankfurt/M." and "Hannover". From there you can reach us by ICE to the station "Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe". Follow the description "By train".

Reach Kassel by train at the station "Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe". At the station forecourt, take streetcar line 3 or 7 - direction "Mattenberg". Travel 9 stops to the stop "Korbacher Straße - Universität". Cross the street at the stop and walk straight ahead for about 250m into Heinrich-Plett-Straße.

"Korbacher Straße/Universität": streetcar lines 3 and 7.
"Heinrich-Plett-Straße": streetcar lines 2, 3, 6 and 7as well as bus lines 17 and 21.

Take the A7 freeway to the Kassel-Mitte junction (exit 79). There, change to the A49 freeway in the direction of Marburg. At the Kassel-Niederzwehren junction (exit 6), leave the freeway and follow Frankfurter Straße into town. 500 meters after the Jet gas station, turn left into Altenbaunaer Straße. Cross the streetcar tracks twice as you proceed. Then turn half right into Oberzwehrener Straße. At the next traffic light turn left into Korbacher Straße and after approx. 200m turn left again into Heinrich-Plett-Straße. After about 150m you will find the parking deck of the university on the left side.

Take the A7 freeway to the Kassel-Süd junction (exit 80). Change there to the A44 freeway in the direction of Dortmund. At the Kassel-West junction (exit 69), take the A49 in the direction of Kassel-Innenstadt. At the Kassel-Niederzwehren junction (exit 6), leave the freeway and follow Frankfurter Straße into the city. 500 meters after the Jet gas station, turn left into Altenbaunaer Straße. Cross the streetcar tracks twice as you proceed. Then turn half right into Oberzwehrener Straße. At the next traffic light turn left into Korbacher Straße and after about 150 meters turn left again into Heinrich-Plett-Straße.

Take the A44 freeway to Südkreuz Kassel (exit 69). From there, take the A49 in the direction of Kassel-Innenstadt.
